막시밀리언 호마에이는 테해란에서 태어나 시드니로 이주했다. 케틀은 그의 첫 번쨰 작품이다. 이후 그는 여러 차례의 단편 영화와 다큐멘터리 그리고 광고를 만들었다. 그가 현재 진행 중인 작품은 "The Satan and His Cat"이라는 작품이다.

Maximilian Homaei, was born in Tehran, and migrated to Sydney at the age of fourteen with his family. He was introduced to the world of film by David Lean and his seminal works - Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and Brief Encounter – He instantly developed a love for cinema which lead him to pursue a career in filmmaking.
He co-wrote and directed my first film - Kettle - which explores the troubled journey of a young man – Kris – who is torn between the religious convictions of his conservative mother and the onset of his sexual awakening. Since then, he has been making short films, documentaries and commercials, most notably at the esteemed Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF) - a philanthropic contemporary art gallery in Sydney, Australia. As the director and producer of online content, Maximilian has made a number of short documentaries on artists and exhibitions showcased at the gallery. He has worked alongside some of Asia and Pacific regions top visual practitioners, including Shigeru Ban, Mikhael Subotzky, Vo Trong Nghia, Chien-Chi Chang, Sopheap Pich, Pinaree Sanpitak, Yang Zhichao, Shaun Gladwell and others. His upcoming short film 'The Satan and His Cat' is now in post production.
