Sune Sørensen is a Danish-born, auto-didact director. After completing his education, Sune founded a production company in Copenhagen, and started directing commercials and short films. Within a few years, he became a prolific and internationally recognized talent. Sune‘s work is distinguished by an exceptional knack for scripting dialogue, pacing, and cinematography. His superb technical ability for weaving evocative and relatable stories has helped connect audiences in profound ways to brands ranging from Ford and Volkswagen, to SAIC, Schwarzkop, and many others. Sune also has the rare ability to move comfortably between genres, exhibiting equal command of narrative drama and comedy.
His short film “Generations”, for Volkswagen, was released to widespread critical acclaim, garnering him a Bronze at Cannes, a D&AD Nomination, and a Silver and Bronze at the New York Festivals. In total, the film, which follows a relatable and often wrenching relationship between a father and son, drew 20 nominations and awards. Sune splits his time between Copenhagen and Los Angeles.
